I know it’s maid’s day off, so just a quickie.

In Australia, the organisation PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) raised a formal complaint about a sheep shearer. His crime? He swore at sheep during shearing. PETA reckon that amounts to animal abuse. They reported Ken Turner to the RSPCA, who duly investigated and threw the case out. There was a video of events, filmed by an undercover PETA member, but this was deemed inadmissible because it had been recorded without permission and on private property. My guess is that the RSPCA were trying to find any way they could to get out of a prosecution for such a dumb reason.

Ken’s response was typically Aussie laconic. ‘None of them told me they were offended.’
